Fishing Report - Friday 11/25/11

Friday, November 25 2011

Tough day on local blackfish. Too much tide and too much west wind made for a less than successful day on blacks. Tomorrows extended trip to Rhode Island at 6am promises to be a banner day with much better conditions expected. The Peconic Star Express leaves the dock at 6AM and rockets up to Rhode Island for some "real deal" blackfishing. we hope to see a nice mix bag with the Togs & some codfish.$125.00 for a good hard days fishing. Sunday will be the last day of local fishing. After that, if you want to go blackfishing, bring a group of 25 people or more, and we will go. If we don't see you, have a great Holiday season, write and complain about regulations to your congressman, and we will see you in the spring for the big doormat fluke that we are known for. Holiday wishes from Capt Rob & Capt Dave...

Fishing Report - Sunday 11/6/11

Sunday, November 6 2011

The Peconic Star spent a beautiful day on the water. No wind to speak of. A nice steady blackfish bite and good anchoring conditions made for a great day. Mostly everyone went home with the makings of a great dinner. Charlie Tinnin of Cutchogue L.I.  caught the pool fish, an 8.40 lbr. plus made his limit!  Good day!!

Fishing Report - Monday 10/31/11

Monday, October 31 2011

Nice comfortable day for a change. A slow steady pick of blackfish  all day long sent the folks home with some nice dinners. We need more days like today.
